Paradise Valley Real Estate
Paradise Valley is located 9 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix with a population of approximately 14,500. Actually there are two Paradise Valleys, The Town of Paradise Valley; snuggles against the sides of the Sonoran Desert hills with a limited commerce of a handfull of resorts and a country club atmosphere that creates a sense of pardise found. The Town of Paradise Valley, just north of Camelback Mountain is nearly all residential. Amenities enjoyed by both residents and visitors include the Marriott's Camelback Inn Resort and Spa, Marriott's mountain Shadows Resort, Double Tree's La Posada Resort and the resturants that are located near the town's border with Scottsdale.On the outskirts of the shopping mall are townhomes, single-family homes and small estates with equestrian priviledges along with a handful of golf courses scattered here and there. The median age in the area of Paradise Valley is 46 with the median income just over $50,000. Housing ranges from high-rise condominiums to fairway homes with an average value of $200,000. New developement is being planned in the north section of Greater Paradise Valley called Desert Ridge comprising over 5,700 acres which will include not only residential housing but also an 800-room resort along with two 18 hole golf courses and a 1,000 acre commerce park.Despite Paradise Valley's relatively small area and population compared to other cities in the Phoenix metropolitan area, Paradise Valley is thriving and on the move.
