We selected Matt over the other Brokers that we met with because of the analytical approach that he took towards selecti ng a listing price, the comprehensive marketing strategy that was included for the the commission, and his experience. We also appreciated that he made us feel confident in our listing, but did not oversell us or make it seem like the sale was a given. Matt Barker is an amazing negotiator. He was able to get amazing results for us with the sale of our home. We ended up s elling for 20,000 over asking price. When our buyer came up with a list of demands after the inspection that would have been impossible for anyone to meet, he helped talk the buyer down. We only had to do a reasonable amount of repairs from the long list because of Matt's calm, reasonable, and inarguable demeanor. He also helped us navigate an incredibly stressful legal property dispute with a unstable and very entitled neighbor who was bent on sabotaging the sale of our home. Matt was extremely helpful and knowledgable of all aspects of the sale of our old house and the purchasing of our curren t home. Our situation was a bit unique because we were moving because of a negative relationship with a neighbor and Matt helped us navigate everything that came with that: he guided us through the neighbor demanding easements, having property disputes, attempting to weaponize animal control and the police against us, trying to take part in the sale of our house, impeding the sale of our house, scaring off buyers, etc.., which resulted in us getting restraining orders. It was an extremely challenging time and Matt acted as a rock for us even when we knew that our situation was asking him to go above and beyond. Our situation made us feel like a burden and Matt and his team made us feel otherwise. We are very satisfied and wouldn't consider hiring anyone other than Matt and his team to help us in the future, though distant future since we are very satisfied with our current location.

I felt comfortable with Matt Barker as our realtor because my brother has worked with Matt on several occasions. Matt pr oved to be the perfect fit for us to sell our dads condominium. He was honest, open, supportive and professional. He came to meet us at the condominium and was willing to “mask up” because of Covid. He suggested the marketing strategy and kept in good communication. I am very pleased with the results.
All excellent! Will be calling on Matt Barker the next time we are looking for a realtor. The condominium looked beautiful in the pictures. Lionheart (recommended by Matt) was easy to work with and designed the unit wonderfully.

Matt called me soon after my internet request. I did not get a call from a telemarketing screener but from Matt persona lly. I know he is a very busy guy but he always took plenty of time.
As I reviewed each characteristic, I tried to not have all excellent marks. But, I realized Matt did excel in all of them. I have done many surveys over the years and this is the first that a good rating would have felt too low.
Staci did an excellent job also. We had a couple of small glitches but they got fixed quickly and accurately. With all the closings at the end of the month and Covid doing its thing, she kept ahead of schedule and closing was ready early and completed on time.
As an out of town seller for an estate, I didn't know how to price the home. I had communicated with several buyers and agents. After talking with Matt and looking at his marketing numbers, it gave me the confidence to list the home at a much higher price than I thought. Matt was right! We had many showings and offers and a signed contract on the 4th day.

Matt met all of our critical and important needs. We brought Matt in over 10 months prior to listing our house to ensur e we were working with someone on the same page as we were, and to give us advice on how best to prepare and stage our unique home for sale. As a result we were fully aligned on the timing and the vision as we proceeded. Matt had Tara come to the house very early in our preparation process, which REALLY helped put the project plan and timing in place to prepare our home for sale. This was critical for us to attain our desired timeline.
The marketing package Matt and his team put together for our home was outstanding. We took pictures and a drone video in the Fall when everything was in full bloom and then updated them in the Spring prior to listing. The pics, video and 3D tour were phenomenal and enabled us to totally showcase our home virtually, communicating through pictures the way we actually lived and what we enjoyed so much about our home and property.

In the end, I chose Matt because he was the only broker I talked to who actually has an evidence-based plan for monitori ng feedback and making decisions about price, offers, etc. These data were incredibly important to us as we decided how to market the property.
After having chosen Matt, I then became aware that he's a GREAT and very service-focused broker. I came for the evidence plan and stayed because Matt is very dedicated to client service. I would highly recommend Matt Barker. I live 240 miles away from the Estate house in Maple Grove I was trying to sell. Matt took care of everything. He met me at the house, did a walk through, coordinated his 'stagger' person to be there that the same time. They spent 4 hours staging the house exactly how they wanted it to. House looked awesome and we had a tremendous amount of showings in a very short time. 2 months worth of showing in the first 10 days. We received an acceptable offer a short time later even with the Corona Virus going on.

Selling our home was a big decision for us, and he was patient and walked us through many dif ferent scenarios, offered timing suggestions, and gave us input on the market data on our home/neighborhood. We found a house online and the 3D tour made us want to see it. We called the listing agent, who happened to be Matt Barker. We met Matt at the showing. He was friendly, and knowledgeable, respectful, and we felt he was genuinely trustworthy. We loved the house, and wanted Matt to represent us, knowing the potential risks of negotiating with a dual-agent. Matt did not let us down. He did an excellent job explaining and teaching us the purchasing steps to get the best deal for us. We are moving to the area from the west coast and had already worked with tw o agents (separately) who were clearly not in tune with our needs and lacked a high-touch customer experience. Matt’s willingness to listen, sit on a conference call for two hours and review houses, take a walk through for us, give us feedback and insight on neighborhoods, etc. was phenomenal. Matt exceeded our expectations. We know that he didn't receive a large commission from our sale due to the partnership/a rrangement they have worked out from our builder, and yet still, he made a huge effort to assure us during every step of the way and went above and beyond knowing what our needs were in this process. He treated us just like he would treat a customer that would have made him a large amount of money knowing that we couldn't really do that for him.
