Intelligent, brave, and very passionate. My name is Vicente F. Villegas Avila, and I am an explorer. What I mean by this is that I love to dig into the unknown. It can be visiting a city or country I have never been to for the first time. It could be trying another occupation and getting out of my comfort zone with something new. It can even be trying something that I have yet to experience like sky diving or deep-sea fishing. One thing is for sure and that is where there is a will, there is a way and I have the willingness to do in life.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. South Phoenix to be specific, very close to South Mountain. I went to V.H. Lassen Elementary School from head start to eighth grade and attended North High School from ninth grade to twelfth grade. I am a first-generation son.  My family originates from Mexico. I graduated in May of 2020 during the COVID pandemic era.

I started working officially when I turned sixteen, I had gotten my first job at Harkins Theatres. It was a very fun job, and I learned a variety of skills like guest service skills and organizational skills to name a few. I decided to become a supervisor there before I left for a warehouse job after I graduated in 2020, in which I also became a supervisor there. Three years later, I wanted a change in occupation. I chose to explore a real estate career. With my guest service experience, my hardworking self, and people skills, I decided to pursue a career.

I believe everyone should get a chance at what they want to do or try, if they are willing to try and put in the effort it takes for it. I believe if they hold self-respect, discipline, and integrity tight then they will be alright. I do right, even when no one is looking. It can take years to build something that can easily be destroyed in minutes.

I enjoy the peace and tranquil life the outdoors has to offer when part taking in fishing, off roading, hunting, and even boating. When the opportunity arises, possibilities are I could be traveling to another city and engaging in nightlife or activities throughout the day like visiting museums or local restaurants. I love to learn about different cultures. I love to capture moments as I go, there are some that are just worth living through. A good car show on a weekend day is always welcomed, so are Sunday drives. I can also go for days inside the house and read a great book or cook something up that I haven’t tried.

Life has had its ups and downs. I have been through them much like everyone else. You need the good with the bad, to remind you of why you choose the good and keep it closer to heart than negative experiences. Every day is a new day, a new chance, a new opportunity to do and be great. I am the type of person who chooses quality over quantity, to live the good life, or our personal version of “the good life”.

As time goes by, I polish myself to be a great man. A gentleman. Someone reliable and a man that people can trust and count on. I’m here for a purpose. I know that in helping others and simply living I have found steppingstones to solidify my purpose. I take pride in my work and what I do. I want the best for the next person just like I want the best for myself. Life is full of endless possibilities and life is great. We shouldn’t take it for granted.
