I have done extensive plumbing and carpentry as well. I mention this because it has given me the knowledge to walk through a home and point out the positives and negatives of the home’s various systems. This has helped my buyers to see past the simple repairs found at inspections, as well as give them some insight as to what it will take to fix some of the more serious issues.
As for my sellers, my experience has given me the ability to help them get their house in “Sale Ready” condition.
